Art Aspen 2017 Wrap-Up Release

Art Aspen, which took place at the Aspen Ice Garden August 3-6, welcomed 6,000 attendees and received rave reviews from galleries, artists, curators and partners. The three-day fair with an Opening Night Preview to benefit Americans for the Arts, provided an intimate setting for collectors and art patrons to view unique works of art. Nearly 30 of the nation’s top galleries displayed the very best in modern and contemporary art in a variety of media including painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed-media, by renowned and up and coming artists. Art Aspen kicked off its festivities with an Opening Night Preview to benefit Americans for Arts that drew 500 attendees on Thursday, August 3rd.



Americans for the Arts is strongly committed to fighting recently proposed federal budget cuts to the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), an organization that makes our nation’s economy and communities better. This exclusive, must-attend preview has become one of the most highly anticipated events of the year in Aspen, and offered hundreds of attendees the opportunity to be the first to explore and acquire artwork from contemporary and modern art galleries throughout the country. Urban Expositions Makes Second Acquisition Under New Partnership with Clarion Events

urbanATLANTA (September 9, 2015) – Atlanta-based show management company Urban Expositions today announced their acquisition of Hamptons Expo Group. New York-based Hamptons Expo Group founded and produces ArtAspen, ArtHamptons, Houston Fine Art Fair, and Palm Springs Fine Art Fair.

Rick Friedman, former Owner and President of Hamptons Expo Group, will continue his involvement in a consulting capacity.  Rich Ferrante, Hamptons Expo Group’s sales director will continue to focus on gallery outreach for ArtAspen, ArtHamptons, Houston Fine Art Fair, and Palm Springs Fine Art Fair. 5th Annual ArtAspen Sets Attendance & Sales Records

Special Events and Displayed Art Works Wows Fairgoers

The fifth edition of ArtAspen, July 31- Aug. 3, 2014, established show attendance and art sales records.  The four-day fair attracted 2,650 art enthusiasts who explored the displays, a 10% increase over last year. This increase is attributed to the fair reaching annual attendees, as well as offering the fair as an accessible forum for the discovery of contemporary art across other cultural disciplines including cinema, music, philanthropy and an Aspen staple, skiing. As a result, hundreds of artworks found new homes in Aspen, Dallas, Houston, LA and NYC, with estimated sales increase of 15% over 2013 and more pending. (more…)
