Art Aspen, which took place at the Aspen Ice Garden August 3-6, welcomed 6,000 attendees and received rave reviews from galleries, artists, curators and partners. The three-day fair with an Opening Night Preview to benefit Americans for the Arts, provided an intimate setting for collectors and art patrons to view unique works of art. Nearly 30 of the nation’s top galleries displayed the very best in modern and contemporary art in a variety of media including painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed-media, by renowned and up and coming artists. Art Aspen kicked off its festivities with an Opening Night Preview to benefit Americans for Arts that drew 500 attendees on Thursday, August 3rd.
Americans for the Arts is strongly committed to fighting recently proposed federal budget cuts to the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), an organization that makes our nation’s economy and communities better. This exclusive, must-attend preview has become one of the most highly anticipated events of the year in Aspen, and offered hundreds of attendees the opportunity to be the first to explore and acquire artwork from contemporary and modern art galleries throughout the country.
