Alexandra Halperin grew up on press in Highland Park, IL, daughter of a printer. Her love of art started with classes at the Art Institute of Chicago. With three siblings, she braved an unpaved Independence Pass to ski Aspen at age six, raced for the Aspen Valley Ski Club, and gained local notoriety not when she stole a Greyhound bus on Durant St, but when she landed a gig as the first woman on the Aspen Mt. Ski Patrol. She met her husband recording a :30-second radio spot. The ad agency she founded morphed into an electronic service bureau, then a publishing house. She launched Aspen Peak Magazine in 2004 with Niche Media, now Greengale Publishing with 12 titles across the US. Mother of two, Alexandra looks forward to being the Diana Vreeland of Aspen Peak Magazine as we stay ahead of the curve representing our jewel of a town.
